Google will only let me into my calendar, even when clicking on the link. Me or Google?

For me, clicking on the link added that calendar to my own. Try checking the...on mine it's lower left side of the screen where it lists which calendars are displayed. Also try skipping ahead to August. On mine the rotWIPs calendar shows in brown. If it connected you'll see weeks blocked off with the accompanying section titles.

I could list quite a few classes and seminars as the best—who says ‘best’ has to be one thing? But, I’ll choose one to save everyone’s time. My favorite and best was a class I stumbled upon run by Dave Holmes—the old MTV DJ. He’s actually a writer who writes for Esquire magazine now, and wrote one of my favorite memoirs, “A Party of One.” Anyway, the class was called Write Your Story, and after quite a few years of writing silence, through his lessons, honesty, and excellent prompt cycle, I got largely over my need to edit as I wrote, the fallacy that you had to have your butt in the chair 24/7 (sound familiar?), and to trust the process, and yourself. He also helped me formulate the why of my writing practice. It would take some time after his class for it all to fall into place, but I’m forever grateful for this class, led at the height of the pandemic. It brought humanity to the terrible time, and helped me find myself in my words again.

the class that stands out most in my memory is one in I think year 8 or 9 (so I'd have been 13/14 probably) where my English teacher showed us a video of Benjamin Zephaniah performing one of his poems, and I remember so vividly sitting there and watching it and thinking oh, THIS is the point of poetry!! now I understand it all!!! it felt kind of magical

Okay, as usual I'm physically incapable of choosing just one. (I'm bipolar and a Gemini. There's always at least 4 conflicting opinions/thoughts to be found. It is what it is😂)

I can say that my favorite teacher was Mrs. Manning, AP English in 10th grade. She struck a balance between challenging, accessible, and fun - and we had a lot of essays which I loved as a nerd. I read TKAM more times than is probably healthy during the period we studied it.

Same year, history for similar reasons. I was beginning my fascination with religion vs spirituality, and studying the role of religion in the development of society fed right into that.

Broadly speaking, there was shop and orchestra which were my safe places in school when the rest of school was a nightmare. Orchestra carried through into studying Music Therapy for a few years before I had to withdraw.

The best PE class I had was after we moved to Midland and they offered basically an applied class where we learned climbing, canoeing, ziplining, etc.

The only math class I ever enjoyed was a history of math class that went into the philosophy and societal dynamics behind how and why various disciplines developed when and how they did.

Obsessed with a google cal, thank you. I'm a learning designer and just love taking classes of all kinds. I especially love a college class format and thing back to one of my undergrad favorites, "Death, Dying, and Bereavement." Dark and hard but super interesting.

I just thought of a question: I'm not missing the opportunity to register now, am I? I thought registration/payment wasn't open yet, but I'm realizing I might be wrong...

I was also going to ask when registration/payment opens. I vaguely remember August being mentioned but I'm not sure either.

Good news, the calendar works on my end!

As for the question of the day, I'll have to think about it. I've been out of classes for *mumbles incoherently* years but there are quite a few that I remember fondly for various reasons.
