Both times I have submitted creative writing to an external thing, the outcome has been positive.

Everyone wants me to draft their break-up texts, notes to bosses, wedding scripts, speeches etc etc. If the message is tricky or emotional or complex they come to me; I was the original ChatGPT for my friends and family. At the end of the day, if that's all I would ever get out of being a writer, that would enough.

Admittedly not specifically about my writing as such, but I've helped to create a very small and close knit community of writer friends where we feel safe enough for someone to be able to say outright "I'm feeling very insecure and anxious about my writing today. Can you take a look at this and reassure me?"
