Communitycore feels very much like a mental aesthetic. And brings me back to being 15, working my first job at a local ice cream shop. All of us teenagers existing alongside each other for 4-6 hour shifts just trying to figure it all out.

I wish that some moments in time could be captured and placed into little jars. I’d jar so many of those moments, put them on my shelves, and watch them play out over and over again.

My favourite experience of community is roller derby. I have been playing for 11 years and I have never experienced such a welcoming, accepting and supportive environment. It has made me a stronger, braver, more confident and now a sporty person. I knew there was a reason why Sporty Spice was my favourite all those years ago 😝

That's such a broad question I'm not sure how to answer!

I guess, broadly speaking, I'd have to dig into the memory banks to my orchestra and bell choir days.

My favorite experience working in community is definitely the Year of Writing Magically. I've seen such amazing things happen for the cohorts using this communitycore approach.
